Heart Health through Chiropractic
In case you didn't know, February is Heart Health Month. It's the perfect time of year for reminders about healthy diet and exercise. Obviously that is a great way to keep your heart healthy, but chiropractic can also help!
I'm not saying that you should go see a chiropractor and start eating whatever you want! I'd recommend maintaining a healthy diet and exercise while adding regular chiropractic adjustments to the mix to keep your heart healthy. Here's why:
Chiropractic has helped to decrease chest pain: Shooting chest pain is often associated with heart problems, but most times it is musculoskeletal in nature which means chiropractic adjustments will help relieve the pain.
Chiropractic improves your heart function: Adjustments help to improve the overall function of your nervous system allowing your heart to function at its best.
Chiropractic adjustments lower blood pressure: Chiropractic care allows your body to function at its optimal level so that it can heal itself the way it was made to. Adjustments to your first vertebra (Atlas 1) can help to improve your blood pressure.
Proper diet and exercise won't benefit you nearly as much if your nervous system is not functioning properly. This is why regular chiropractic adjustments are very important. You should have your spine checked on a regular basis because the nerves don’t just go to the heart, they help regulate every organ in your body!
